Labirent Sanat is pleased to host Abdo Yalçınkaya’s solo exhibition titled "Supernatura" between February 8 to March 15, 2025.

Abdo's solo exhibition "Supernatura" combines the themes of humanity, nature, and the city through various view forms and the emotions they evoke. Abdo, who deals with human designs and tools vis-à-vis nature in his works, focuses on universal critical issues such as the destructive effects of technology, the pressure of militarism on society, and the unsustainability of the consumer society. Bearing the influences of contemporary art, the exhibition also contains traces of Neo-figurative, Expressionist, and Pop-art movements.  The exhibition will be on view at Labyrinth Art between February 8 and March 15.

The exhibition takes its title from French funk musician Cerrone's dystopian disco song of the same name and presents a wide range of Abdo's works.  In the selection, Abdo also conveys a multidimensional collective critique of the world that proceeds in its normalcy. While the exhibition emerges from an individual perspective and targets society as a whole, it also invites the viewer to see themselves as part of these problems. In this sense, Abdo's work serves as both a warning and a call for awareness, foreseeing an impending catastrophe in its apparent ordinariness. The exhibition invites reflection on social and environmental concerns through art while simultaneously offering a rich aesthetic experience.
