Born in Safranbolu in 1990, Sefa Çakır graduated from the Painting–Sculpture Teaching Department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, and later completed his master’s degree in the Department of Plastic Arts at Yeditepe University. He is currently a doctoral student in the Plastic Arts Department at Yeditepe University Institute of Social Sciences. The artist has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Tomorrow in 2017 at Gaia Gallery, curated by Prof. Dr. Marcus Graf; Iron Rings Melted in the Sky in 2018 at the Elgiz Museum, curated by Ferhat Özgür; and Paper in 2019 at Pilevneli Gallery, curated by Yasemin Bay.
