Levent Çetin
Born in Istanbul in 1975, he studied in the Cinema–TV Department at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts between 1996 and 2000, and later completed his master’s degree in the Cinema–TV Department at Istanbul Bilgi University. During his student years, he became interested in experimental cinema and video art, and his short films were screened at various festivals in Turkey and abroad. His digital video Suda (2006) was selected for screening at the Ex-is Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul. His feature film project Sivil was selected for the “Meetings on the Bridge” Project Development Workshop at the Istanbul Film Festival in 2010, and he later worked as an editor for various TV channels. He completed his first feature film Sivil in 2014. He has served on the advisory board of the Istanbul Film Festival National Short Film Competition. Ali’nin Doğası, supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture, is his second feature-length film.
