Kübra Ayyıldız.KA
Born in Istanbul in 1994, the artist graduated from the Painting Department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2017. She continues her practice in Istanbul. The artist focuses on situations she believes are hidden behind the ordinary images of daily life, as well as internal states such as depression and melancholy. With the belief that these life tragedies carry a desire to be seen, she pursues expressions that allow them to emerge more distinctly.
Working with a method of fragmenting, distorting, and reconstructing her own photographs, she draws on the fragility and ruptures she creates in her own image and their counterparts in her life, concentrating on the possibility of normalizing them. Through this approach, she aims to explore the realities and inner worlds that exist beyond the visible images.
