Born in Ankara in 1966, she studied Painting and Graphic Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, the Netherlands, between 1993 and 1998. In 1996–1997, she joined Özer Kabaş’s studio at Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts. The artist states that her connection with art, with herself, and with life carries the same meanings. She notes that she enjoys surprising those who witness her work through chromatic and formal diversity, and that she is never hesitant to shift her techniques or color choices.
