She is an academic and artist specializing in photography and interdisciplinary art. After completing her undergraduate studies at Marmara University, she earned her first master’s degree in art history at Istanbul Technical University and a second master’s degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. She also received photography training in Poland and completed her PhD/Practice-based doctorate in the arts at the University of Salford in the United Kingdom. Her academic research focuses on the use of photography as a methodological tool in the social sciences, as well as visual inquiries into environmental art and urban experience, and she has published various articles on these subjects. She currently continues her academic work at Beykoz University.
