Beyza Boynudelik
Born in Istanbul in 1975, she studied in the studios of Adnan Çoker and Kemal İskender in the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and completed her master’s degree in the Zekai Ormancı Studio at the same institution. In her works, she engages with the coincidence-woven rhythms of contemporary life, the cityscape as a living organism, the imagined world beneath the sea, and figures absorbed in their own activities along the shoreline. With a fresh sensitivity, she transforms subjects that any painter might find compelling and enriching into distinctly personal explorations. Although the language she employs carries expressionist qualities methodologically, her approach is grounded in a solid foundation, with roots extending to many artists of modernity, forming a comparative stylistic lineage. The harmony between her manual fluency, knowledge, and sensory perception offers her paintings both an enjoyable viewing experience and a surprisingly intricate field of attention. She continues to live and work in Istanbul.
