Born in Ankara in 1975, he graduated from the Painting Department of Hacettepe University in 1999 with an Achievement Award. In 1997, while still a student, he established his own studio, where he continues to work independently. Since 1999, his works have been featured in numerous exhibitions and art events both in Türkiye and abroad. To date, he has received nine awards, including the Nuri İyem Painting Award twice. Cihanoğlu has participated in many international projects, and throughout his artistic journey, he has held nine solo exhibitions and taken part in countless group shows. Following the success he achieved at the 2009 Contemporary Istanbul fair, his works entered the collections of some of the country’s most prominent collectors. His works are also included in various international collections.
